Biography
Stephanie is an attorney and strategic advisor with extensive experience supporting schools, businesses, and nonprofit organizations across Rhode Island. Her experience spans charter public schools, traditional public schools, private schools, and mission-driven nonprofits, where she has served both as an employee and in governance leadership roles.
She advises clients on a wide range of matters, including state and federal compliance, workplace disputes, union grievances and collective bargaining, policy and handbook review, special education matters, and governance best practices. She also counsels individuals navigating workplace separations, ADA and leave-related accommodations, and parents seeking guidance on school policies and Section 504 and IDEA-related processes.
Stephanie approaches her work as a thoughtful partner to her clients, helping them navigate both day-to-day operations and unexpected challenges with patience, care, and practical guidance.
A lifelong Rhode Islander and the daughter of Colombian immigrants, she is also deeply committed to her community and currently serves on multiple nonprofit boards of directors throughout the state. Outside of her work, she is an avid runner, book club enthusiast, and in love with her husband, Jorge, and son, Omar.
